The Mass Data Discovery (MDD) module How To

The Mass Data Discovery module is one of the key components of Tale of Data. It allows you to observe your data, and automatically scan it, as often as you want.

You can use this tool to build an atlas of the contents of different tables, files or systems connected to your catalog. Thanks to the ability to export raw snapshots of the scan results, it is possible to combine the running of MDD scan jobs with the launch of flows to perform custom analysis of the results, for example trending. As per your specification these flows can also generate email alerts or export summary data to other systems. Finally, the MDD scan results can be viewed  and shared within Tale of Data's dashboards, or any other data visualisation system.
